Embedded Systems Training in Bangalore
What is Embedded Systems?
Embedded Systems are a combination of software and hardware which together make possible the accurate functioning of a target device. Embedded Systems are basically a computer system with a dedicated function within a larger mechanical or electrical system often with real-time computing constraints. It is embedded as a part of a complete device often including hardware & mechanical parts.
Embedded systems can also be defined as application-specific, special purpose systems that are typically designed for meeting real-time operations. Embedded systems, when compared with general-purpose systems, are low power consumption and small size rugged operating ranges and low cost. This comes at a price of limited processing resources which make them significantly more difficult to program and to interact with. Embedded systems control many devices in common use. The significant characteristics of an embedded system are small size, less power consumption, high speed, accuracy, reliability, and adaptability.
Embedded Systems Definition “An Embedded Systems is an application that contains at least one programmable computer (typically in the form of a microcontroller or digital signal processor chip) & which is used by individuals who are in, the main, unaware that the system is computer-based.”
Embedded Systems range from portable devices such as digital watches & mp3 players to large stationary installations Like Traffic lights, Factory controllers and large complex systems like hybrid vehicles MRI etc. Complexity varies from low with a single microcontroller chip to very high with multiple units peripherals & networks melted inside a large chassis or enclosure.
Embedded Systems Applications
Embedded systems are used in a diverse range of applications which include Industrial, Healthcare, Aerospace, Automotive, Telecommunication, and Consumer Electronics etc.
Industrial Applications – Embedded Systems enable the intelligent Industrial System which helps in advanced manufacturing. Because of Embedded Systems organizations has an opportunity to improve the manufacturing process and control of manufacturing equipment.
Automotive Applications – Automotive Embedded Systems make today’s vehicles more efficient and safe. Embedded Systems are using in braking systems, traction control, airbag release systems, and engine management units, steer by wire systems and cruise control applications. However, embedded systems and electronics are making the vehicles more complex.
Domestic Applications – Home appliances, including dishwasher, televisions, washing machines, microwave ovens, video recorders, security systems & garage door controllers everything is based on Embedded System. Nowadays we are moving towards Smart homes, it is possible because of Embedded Systems Applications in IoT.
Aerospace Applications – Embedded Systems is an advanced technique that helps many verticals. One of them is the Aerospace Industry. It is present in the various system that includes flight control systems, engine controllers, autopilots, various sensor systems, passenger in-flight entertainment systems & much more.
Healthcare Applications – With IoT (Internet of Things) we are getting even more connected with the devices. Embedded devices are also using in Hospitals for advanced treatment. Now doctors can remotely monitor their patients. There is a revolutionary use of Embedded Systems in Medical Science. Medical equipment like Anesthesia, Monitoring Systems, ECG Monitors, drug delivery systems & MRI scanner are a great example of Embedded Technology.
Defense System – Embedded Systems play important role in Military. It is making our defense system even more strongly with a radar system, fighter aircraft flight control system, radio system & missing guiding systems. With the help of Embedded Technology, we are able to create an advanced defense system for India.
